Arrow Display Holder

Hey everybody, I was wondering if you could settle a little debate for me...

Recently I've been making some display arrows for my reenactment group

And I couldn't make these arrows without having something to display them on so my father made an arrow stand for me.

It holds 6 arrows. The two arrows cut into it that point straight up are for hanging the stand on nails on a wall (the legs come off), the two arrows that cross each other are for show and to make it lighter.

Now I reckon my dad could probably sell a couple of these on ebay but he doesn't think anyone else would want one.

I'm not asking for orders here because my dad has already said he won't make another one but out of interest, would it be something any of you would be interested in owning?

Like I said, this is merely to settle a family debate but any responses would be nice, positive or negative.

Cheers,

G.

Nice :-)

Looks better than the old CD rack I currently use, but then my arrows are only out for as long as it takes to finish making them. Including myself I make arrows for 5 different people and I always think it would be nice to show the different arrows off. Would be interested but don't know where I would put it in my house.

Thumbs up

Nice stand , I am making a display stand at the moment but with the arrows stood vertically. Looking at the arrows, do you shop with the"2 J's", and did you have any problems with the internal taper on the Type 1?

who are the "2 J's"? I got them from Richard Head longbows. I havn't made the type one yet, I'm waiting for a few tools that i forgot to get to arrive in the post (hopefully tomorrow) then I'm gonna get down to it!

The internal diameter of each head seems to be different so I'm just going to reduce the end of the shaft bit by bit for each arrow and fine tune it with sandpaper.

Never thought I'd ever be able to "fine tune" anything with sandpaper

Stand looks nice, but large. I don't think my wife would be too happy with it in the front room, or any room come to think of it as she shudders any time I bring home a trophy. Thankfully for her that's not very often .

I think the 2 J's Greenman is refering to is J&J Traditional Archery.

Not J&J, though their stuff looks very nice, but 2J's they supply reenacters with all sorts of goodies from armour ,pole arms, period cutlery, leatherwork, hornwork etc, seem to remember they get their arrows from Pakistan, they charge £8.50 for the large swallowtails(5cm across).

If anyone wants to buy solid silver arrowheads, bodkins, swallow tails, broadheads, etc, let me know. A freind of mine , a jeweler, makes exact replicas in silver. Ideal for trophies or to make up as a display arrow
