Straightening wooden arrows

How do you straighten your wooden arrows ?

I've tried the 'palm of hand ' method advocated by some, but I can't seem to master it at all. I can end up with something akin to a corkscrew sometimes !
How about the various straighteners on sale - hooks, rolly things etc - or does anyone have any other methods they would share with me, as I have several good arrows that just need a 'tweak' in the right direction.

I know they say that it isn't necessary that all arrows are straight, but I'm sure that it would help if they were somewhere near. I'd be grateful for any tips you would share

Some articles which may help... (they all say more or less the same thing)

I don't have experience of wooden arrows, but straightening other arrows is a matter of care, patience and practice - keep at it and you'll get better over time.

Give the arrow a good warm up by sliding thru a gripped fist then roll it slowly on a flat surface (with the fletchings off the edge of course) and look for the gap under the bend. Stop rolling, put your finger on the top of the bend and gently lift an end up and down a litlle at a time. Roll it again to judge. Then to finish off grasp by the pile with one hand, and just infront of the fletchings with the other and twist your hands back and forth a couple of times in the opposite direction. I find that this fine tunes it and sets your work in place (until next time it bends). Works for me. OR, buy some more !!
Good luck

I'm new to all this, but i was told to warm them over a steaming kettle, straighten by hand and bung them in the fridge for a few minutes, i've had to straighten lots of mine, especially after they have been lying hidden in wet grass, i spend lots of time looking for arrows
