what a shame, people have to doubt and attack, I for one know Steve, and understand that in no way would his score acknowledgements be in anyway bragging or looking for recognition from the people on the site, the man was just outlining his scores, we all seem to have those days when we score great with no one around to verify, but hey who needs verification anyways, Steves only got to live with himself and his knowledge of his scores, no need for him to have it recognised at record status shoots etc.

I for one have really appreciated the effort he had taken to answering the questions and offering advice, and feel it will be a shame if he didn't return, but I myself would probably ditch the site if people wanted to call me a liar, doesn't sit well with most people that.

if it is not constructive it has no place here, and there was me only last night on the phone saying to Steve what a friendly place this is.......

Couldn't agree more !

I get really pi**ed off when someone who has clearly spent the time to reply to people's questions in a constructive and helpful way gets flamed by someone who has contributed nothing to the thread......

SteveZ - please come back
He was wrong - its enough punishment for him that everybody believe and support You!
And i have personal interest - i am learning to shoot at 60 - 80 - 100 yds.
Iam working on consistency, and i shoot instinctively so i dont look at the bowhand when i shoot - but my score is only about 68 at Long Warwick as example (2 dos at 60 and 2 at 80) .
I am trying to understand the POA but still in process... And what about the rubber bands? Whow to use them - may be i shall try? It shall be on the bow - somewhere over the grip am i right?

barebow

I'm new to longbow type shooting, so the next question may sound a little "stupid" - but I am the first to put my hand up if I'm confused.

Would the advice given by Steve et al still be applicable to Bare Bow?

The reason I ask?

I'm relatively new to Archery (only been Recurve shooting for around 18mths), and, due to a an operation on the old elbow - have missed out on some the intermediate shooting time.

So I would like to use my existing equipment, in a more traditional style (a new longbow would be nice - but cash is short at the moment, and Christmas is coming).

So any assistance would be much appreciated by this first time poster

Not enough punishment yet! He must be, ( ever so slowly ), roasted! over the heat from his own iniquity.
