Hi Narrowboat

Judging by the way eBay seems to have been taken over by "Chinese" scammers, and the Mongolian bows seem to range from bits of bent copper (sorry "Bronze") pipe, to something described as "Very Cheep", I would not touch one with a barge pole (forgive the pun!). There are a handful of good bowyers making this style of bow, but go to a reputable source and try before you buy would be my advice. eBay has gone well and truly down the pan of late judging by the falling standards in the Archery section and the amount of absolute junk being uploaded.

I recently bought one of these bows on eBay on behalf of a friend

There were some very dodgy looking ones advertised on eBay (zero rated sellers etc.) where I suspect you would never see anything for your money
but I ordered one from

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/J-J-Traditional-Archery

They were very good - fast delivery, good coms, very well packaged etc. and I was VERY impressed with the build quality of the bow (especially for the £100 it cost)

(they are not advertising any at the moment but may be worth contacting them?)
