Where does one get a look at the Bowtech Mistral? I have tried a few searches but no luck so far.

I looked at the bow , it looks good value for money but which woods are used in the £2oo model?

Best wishes , Mark

I have the internature viper dlx flatbow, been shooting it for about six months, the bottom nock is delaminating and i noticed yesterday that it has a crack in the riser, so my advice is to give it a very good coat of looking at before you spend any cash, i can't find the receipt for mine so i might be stuck with it, but despite these problems, it's a nice bow to shoot

Mistral

You have probably realised it's Bowtec not Bowtech different kettle fish altogether! The following is secret so I will say it only once:

I have bought a Bowtec Mistral for Mrs Ramshead for Christmas and as she believes in Santa Claus I don't want her to find out until the big day. Its 62" 32# maple core limbs with carbon covered in yew veneers with clears glass and a purple heart handle. At the moment it is hidden in the garage but I have had a few shots in the garden and it's great.

I know lots of archers who have Bowtec bows and have yet to hear a bad word. The difference between these bows and off the shelf type mentioned in this thread is massive. My advice would be save up, beg borrow or steal the extra money for a proper bow, which is not only a magnificent bow but a very beutiful thing indeed and is worth far more if you ever need to sell.

P.S. When I went to collect I ordered a Bowtec Thunderbolt for myself, 68" 45# yew cored limbs under osage veneer, clear glass, and a Ziricote handle, ready in March.

Remember mums the word.

Dave Folwell at Bowtec will talk through the options, I went for amazonique with the purple heartwood stripe like the picture, went for black veneers with the brucie bonus carbon (only £25 more) you really have o go for these bows, great value and nice shooting I luv mine so much and can only say Dave there is a great guy to deal with

Greenman, I have the same bow. Haven't had much chance to shoot it yet, just a couple of hours as Ionly got it for Christmas but I REALLY like it so far.

I asked the same question about arrows a few days ago on a separate thread and got plenty of good advice there.
