| Maybe? I don't know, the only way to find out is to make some, shoot them and see how they go. To make a better guess I'd need to know your draw length, what length you are making the arrows (Are you leaving them too long?) what type of AFB you're using, and what string you've got on it. Even then it'll be a guess Daniel | |||||||||||||||

| Personally I'd use 5/16 arrows spined to 40-45lbs 4" fletches and 100grain piles as a starting point. If these are to stiff use 125grain piles or drop down a spine rating. Favourite is Contact Carol Edwards on 01932 865181.

I'd go with Provins on this one. I had the same bow and draw weight, started using 11/32 and 5" fletchings, but they dropped too quick after being shot. Changed to 5/16 100 grain and 4", arrows shoot fine and the change in shaft, fletch and pile didn't seem to make any difference.

| Go here: http://www.bowmaker.net/tuning.htm and you cannot go wrong. Bareshaft tuning will tell you all you need to know. When your bareshafts are grouping well then you can put on feathers. The problem with 5" fletching is they will do a pretty good job of stabilising a badly tuned arrow. But if it's raining and your feathers go flat you will notice a big difference especially on the long shots. There are so many ways to tune and no right way. As long as the arrow flies straight and true and goes to where you want it to go.
