longbows are great fun

Had a go on a longbow outside for the first time today shot a few arrows with a 65# bow and then some on a 56# bow. I think I am going to have to get myself one of these bent sticks later on this year they are just so much fun , I managed to get all six arrows on the target at 30mtr and was well happy.
It’s given my back muscles a proper workout.
Went back to my 34# recurve after shooting the longbows and it was just so easy to draw I thought there was something wrong with it.

I was planning on getting some new limbs and some ACCs soon but now I also want a longbow and some wooden arrows. Cant decide which I want the most

As of today I am officially hooked on this sport.

They are great fun!

You need to have a go at shooting a 3D rhino with one next though!

Excellent another convert, wont be long before you wont wanna touch that old electric bow ever again. I got two longbows and a warbow on the way, I'm flogging my recurve, as Ive shot it once in the last 3 years.
Enjoy mate

Nice to hear about another archer taking up the PROPER form of archery. Back to basics - good on you. Now you've got the excuse to miss, or boast about a good score shooting a straight stick with a bent stick and nothing else.

ELB is a difficult bow to shoot well. It is very inefficient and sometimes the sob seems to have a mind of it's own. Isn't it great when you hit what you're aiming at? Love it to bits.

They're ok if you like killing worms and picking your arrows out of the ground
If I were to get another longbow it would be a takedown bow,as one aspect of shooting them in london I never liked was london underground with a 6'6" bag!!!
