| Hello, I've just bought a rosewood belly, bamboo backed bow. it is stuning and shoots very sweetly. I've also made an ash belly, bamboo back - which I'm still shooting in, but it's got really power to it. my current 'everyday' bow is lemonwood, purpleheart and osage and is very good too. Can I choose a favourite? Nah - the new rosewood one is a beauty though! |

| The longbows I currently have are: Bamboo back, bubinga core, lemonwood belly. Made by Pete Davidson. Bamboo back, pitch pine core, bamboo belly. Made by myself with the help of another club member. Bamboo back, maple belly. Made solely by myself. I feel a bit un-traditional with all my longbows having bamboo backs, must get me some Hickory! A self-yew would be wonderful. |
