| Mine is being made with Hickory, Greenheart and Lemonwood. I'll let you know how it shoots when I get it.

| Hickory, Purple Heart and Lemon wood. Didn't know any better when I bought it, but it is a good bow. I would go for a bamboo back without a doubt. Bamboo makes the bow very fast and fantastic for longer distances. Much sweeter to shoot as well, worth the extra IMO. If I was having a bow made, I would have a bamboo back, osage orange front, and possibly a middle laminate. This would make a good fast stable bow. Kae. |

| I really must get out of this habbit of people agreeing with me, its starting to make me think I may have an idea about what i'm saying, lol. My original bow is a Bickerstaff and has lasted 4 years so far. Its no longer as fast as it was, and has a good set to it now, but I can't bare to part with it (nor can I afford to, lol). I know this thread is about the bow, but I'd like to just say that making a set of longbow arrows needs as much, if not more attention than making a set of recurve or compound arrows. If your going to spend a lot of money on a bow, there is no point using bargain bin arrows. Make sure they match the bow or it will be a real waste! Kae. |

| All advice welcome Kae. Think I will get my arrows from Little John as their prices seem more reasonable than most, and heard good things about them. Keep your longbows coming - even if your choice has been said before this will just add weight to it being a popular choice.
