| Wood for building bows Hi All, Anyone know of any good places to get wood for bow staves from? I know plenty of places sell kits or part shaped staves for lemonwood, hickory, ash, etc self and laminated longbows but a) I'd far rather start with a fresh length of timber roughly the right size and take it from there and b) the next two bows I want to have a go at making aren't longbows! Cheers David |

| David, i don't know where you live but North heinsham Sawmills in Norwich is great for bow tmber. Very freindly and they let you rummage in the timber stocks yourself. Got myself a few years worth of timber a couple of weeks ago. Steve. |
