Haven't entered yet but Jean invited me along when I was talking to her last Sunday. I think she's expecting my entry!

But I don't need to shoot at animals to practice distance estimation... just field faces. Maybe I'll buy a few different sizes in and set them up at my range, just to get the different relative sizes implanted in my mind.

Just make your sight-tunnel (or equivalently obvious knob/nook/cranny) cover half the face at 40m on an 80cm face and you have an automatic cheat for every sized face and every distance.
