I lived at number 12...say hello for me when you pass. My mother used to let out a room or two back in the 40's. A young girl who I remember living there (I don't remember the parents) used to play with me & my Sister, used to eat slugs . Rationing did not concern her I guess.

You're almost as bad as me. I currently have two Peugeot 205s, a Montego - and a Hillman Imp. I've only bothered to join the owners club for one of those. Guess which one?

Although now living in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, I am originally from Caerphilly. Ran away to sea (Royal Navy) in 1985 and never returned.

Have a look at the Welsh Archery Association website at
http://www.welsharcheryassociation.co.uk; also the Welsh Field Archery Association's at http://www.wfaa-archery.co.uk/.

One of the problems in the UK is that there are different (some might say rival) organisations offering different types of archery. It's tempting to think that 'never the twain shall meet'; however there are quite a few people who manage to be members of both the WFAA and GNAS (WAA) without starting a major war, and there are clubs which happily host GNAS/FITA shoots one week and NFAS the next. Your main difficulty may well turn out to be discovering which form of archery you prefer, since field clubs tend not to discuss target shoots and target clubs turn their noses up at field.

There's a club at Ogmore, about which I know nothing, and there's a club in the Rhondda area (Pentref Bowmen) about which I can give more details if wanted. There are clubs in the Swansea area with members here.

I do suggest joining a club though, if only to get proper coaching and advice on equipment etc.

Good luck
