Good point, so they are. I'm possibly going to be there for a training day at the end of March. Are you a member of B-J?

Yes. Member and Webmaster. Although I don't get there that often- I shoot a lot at home. I got your e-mail too, just checking with Chairman to get the OK for mutual links before I respond. I keep meaning to come visit Pentref, but my focus is target at the moment, so I try to concentrate on that.

Tomo is BJ too, but doesn't post too often, although I think he does read a lot.

Someone else in BJ has registered here on AIUK too but I cannot remember who/username.

Visitiors are always welcome. Every now and then we get a few targets out for a fun shoot. Subject to the agreement of organisers I'll post details here.

South Wales Archers?

Hi Matt,
During the 1960's I started several Archery Clubs in your area. Notably, Barry Plastics Bowmen shooting in Sully. Also Penarth Bowmen, just down the road. Do you or anyone else know if they are still running? I also shot indoors at the Civil Service AC in Cardiff.
Regards TOX.

I believe Penarth Bowmen are still running. As far as I know they shoot at a school in Dinas Powys although I think its only a fairly small club.

Yes, they are still meeting and yes it is a small club. They meet in the St Cyres annex in DP on a Tuesday (term time only), if you want to know more drop me a PM, one of their archers also visits another club in the Cardiff area (Celyn) same as I do on a Saturday so he'd be the best contact.
