well.. i came 1st in the "Under 18 junior gents recurve, shooting in cardiff and who'd not actually entered in the first place" category with a show stopping abysmal 550 Portsmouth (not going to be entered in this month's postal)...


as for the Open Championships... 2 members of my club came 1st and 2nd in the ladies... 2 of my juniors claimed county records, i think we had one of the Gents medal's and Steffi and Halix did a good job in organizing the shoot (from what i heard) and the only issue was an archer in the morning session who was shooting in ends of 4 for some of the time

So all in all... i feel that my club held its own

Any idea what won the gents recurve?
a few members from the club did the morning shoot but left lunch time, so no idea of the final results.

the gents 2nd was 554 i think... so i would think about 560ish

so what was your score as 1st junior gent seen as your on the target next to me at the easter fita this sunday

ive never shot a fita before so i have no idea what im going to score

im guessing 1st class would come in around 850 to 900 ish .

um... my competition averages for a P/m have been in the mid 560's

I havn't shot a Gents Fita, but i'm hoping to be around the thousand mark (according to my outdoors handicap i should be able to shoot a 1150+ but i don't see that happening)

Looking forward to the Easter shoot, I've managed to get my sight marks, and it should be a good (if close) shoot
