West Midlands and Open Flight Championships Sunday 29th July

Have you ever fancied having a go at Flight shooting? The 13th event is being held again at Longford Hall, Newport, Shropshire (not too far away from Lilleshall). Recurve bows are restricted to 50lbs and Compound to 45 lbs.

If you have never had a go at it don't worry because tuition will be given. It's great fun and a totally relaxed round without the pressures of achieving 'just a few more points'. In simple terms the idea is to whang an arrow as far as possible at an angle of 45 degrees. There are 4 x 6 arrow ends. Retrieving arrows can take a while (my farthest so far is 552 yards).
