Leamington next week...
Sounds identical to me, except that your definition of bad is probably at least 300-400 higher than mine...

If I shoot as badly at Leamington next week I will probably quiet the tournament scene for a while until I can work out what I am doing wrong (apart from turning up at present).

I know for a fact Martin was definitely 300+ higher than me. I had 7 misses and broke 2 arrows. My next fita is now Kirby in August, which is a relief as it seems i badly need the practice.

What was your score? (PM is you wish to maintain some dignity...). I also managed about that many misses (including 2 at 70m), but only broke one of my lovely new ACE's. It looks like the nock must have caught the very top of the targetas it was smashed out at 45 degrees, and split the back of the shaft.

I finished with 879. Concidering i was hoping for bowman with 1065+ but didn't even manage a 1st class score, not a good day score wise. I don't think i had a good dozen all day.

Your turn Whale?

I was quite happy.

My new umbrella kept my chair and food dry.
My new thermos flasks provided me with hot soup and hot coffee
My waterproofs really were waterproof so unlike last year I stayed dry
My new Angel Majesty string made the bow so much quieter
My new Sureloc sight matches my bow

Shot like a plank, especially at 90m and 50m. The only consolation was watching the good archers also struggling!!!

hmmm - where to start?

30 for the first end at 90m (with a miss at 3pm in the wood)
34 for the fith end at 90m, only to be bettered with the last end at 90m with a 22 (with a 2 at 9pm and a 2 at 3pm)

My 3 at 6pm at 70m stands out - that was when I started to hit my waterproof top !!!

My 10,9,9 at 50m was nice, followed up with 7,6,5.

My X,X,7 for the last 3 arrows kind of summed it up. I couldn't string an end of 6 (or 3) arrows together.

I think I turned up in the wrong frame of mind - on Sunday night I was thinking "if it's raining, shall I go?". On Monday morning at 7.45 as I looked out at pouring rain *AND* strong winds I was thinking "shall I go?" + "I must be stupid" + "maybe it will be called off" + "no-one will turn up"

That said I enjoyed the day - it could have been worse weather.

Simon

I was on 17c, with Martin, that's how i know how many hundreds of points ahead of me he was

I was the one wearing the blue england hat who always seemed to be last off the line.

I think Stu did ok...?
