How did everyone shoot today, for those who are in the know?

I can only speak for myself, but I for one had an awful weekend. Saturday was breezy and nobody shot great scores, Sunday was calmer but very chilly and scores generally were much higher.

Top gent compound was, I think, Liam Grimwood, with JOnathan Mynott, Neil Dowsett and Nathan Cutler all shooting well. Steve Gooden had a good round on Sunday.

As far as the gents recurves were concerned, top three were Roy Nash, Simon Terry and James Bingham (in that order I believe).

Don't know about the ladies, but I believe Emma Parker was the top compound by some distance.

Adam

Oh, it was a sad shoot, my riser broke after 10 long years of faithful service... at least that was after a reasonable first day (given conditions).
Must buy new riser asap.

The results have been posted now.

Oooo, think i saw you with that, hoyt radian wasn't it? (am a student of Ian Mcgibbon, think he knows you from what i could gather....)

It was a pretty rubbish weekend for me as well. A combination of the glare (must get sunglasses!) and the wind on saturday knocked me down a fair way from what i'd been hoping for, and i am investigating my equipment after the score on sunday, as something was seriously amiss....

Yes, that was me.
And yes I know Ian, perhaps you could even say we're old rivals.

Ruddy Wind!!!! Oh, I was waaay down on my scores - what a waste of £20!

Still, nice to see everyone - gets the season off to a decent start I suppose!

Sorry to hear about the broken riser

Hard luck on the riser, mate... what's going to replace it? I happen to know of a platinum Matrix going (near new, 2nd hand) if you're interested. And no, I'm not on commission!

Ahhh but I live 3 miles from Quicks, so the new riser is bought thanks.
No time for prolonged thought, I'm away all next week so need to shoot now - testing my new riser for the first time tonight.

The radian will live sentimentally in my cupboard until I beat my pbs with my new one!
